THE Premier League have donated £1million to the relief efforts following the devastating earthquakes which struck Turkey and Syria.
The countries were rocked by two devastating quakes on Tuesday morning, which claimed the lives of more than 20,000 people.

And Prem chiefs have followed suit with a sizeable donation to the Disasters Emergency Committee.
A statement read: “The Premier League is deeply saddened by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, which have killed thousands of people.
“The League will make a £1m donation to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Appeal to deliver humanitarian aid directly to those in need.
“Also, as a mark of respect to those who lost their lives, or are affected by these tragic events, Premier League players and PGMOL officials will wear black armbands at matches this weekend.”
Leicester City and Turkey international Caglar Soyuncu has been left devastated by the tragedy which has struck the region.
But he’s drawn strength from the UK-wide support following the devastating earthquake in his homeland.
Manager Brendan Rodgers said: “It’s absolutely devastating for him.
“Thankfully for Caglar, he has had no close family or relatives there.”
Soyuncu visited a local help centre in Leicester to give his support for the relief effort.
He tweeted: “From Leicester to my dear country Turkey.
“I would like to thank everyone who contributed to aid collection from the bottom of my heart. God bless you.”
